Don’t miss this unique opportunity to visit one of the United States’ highest volume aggregates facilities – CEMEX’s FEC Quarry. Located in Southeast Florida within 20 miles of both Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the FEC Quarry supplies high quality aggregates to Southeast Florida and also across the state via its rail distribution and terminal network. Utilizing multiple large draglines as a part of a unique mining process, this is not your typical aggregate operation.

In operation since 1974, the CEMEX FEC Quarry is an integral member of the local community. The FEC Quarry partners with local schools, hosts an annual 5k quarry run, and supports other organizations through volunteer efforts. Additionally, the FEC Quarry is a Wildlife Habitat Council certified site and a previous NSSGA Platinum award winner. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to get off the tour buses and walk around in designated areas of the quarry, so please wear closed toe shoes (steel toed boots are NOT required). NSSGA will provide a boxed lunch and other PPE.
