Airports

We recommend flying into DCA (Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport) for the closest proximity to the Hyatt (10-15 minute drive).

However, the area is served by two other major airports - Washington Dulles (IAD), which is about 35 minutes-1 hour away and Baltimore Washington International (BWI), which is about 1 hour away.

Metro

DCA (National) and IAD (Dulles) both have their own metro stops on the yellow and silver lines, respectively. If interested in using public transport, you can take the metro to Union Station on the red line, which is 0.4 miles from the Hyatt Regency. To plan your metro trip, please visit WMATA's Trip Planner.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport show with red pin above.

The Hyatt Regency does not offer a shuttle to/from any airports in the area. Please see our tab regarding DCA taxis or plan to take a rideshare (Uber/Lyft), both of which are readily available!

Service is on a first-come, first-served basis at DCA. A DCA Taxi Dispatcher is available at designated taxi stands to ensure you are placed with a taxi. Taxi drivers are licensed, obtain safety inspections, and have received customer service training.

Where to find a Taxi

  • From Terminal 1, proceed out the exit doors at baggage claim and turn right. The Taxis are located on the curb closest to the Terminal.
  • From Terminal 2, proceed to the baggage claim lower level (level one). Walk indoors to Doors 5 or 6 then proceed outside to the terminal curbside. You will find the taxi dispatch location clearly marked.

What to Expect

Taxi Operator Permit and license displayed prominently; Schedule of Rates issued by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Commission; No smoking in vehicle; Clean vehicle and in good repair; Be provided a receipt once payment is received.

Payment

All taxicabs accept cash or credit card. All taxicabs dispatched at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport must have and use taxi meters. View approximate taxi rates from Reagan National Airport
