After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, Ami began her career as a supervisor at one of the largest limestone quarries in Ohio. She found her professional inspiration at that quarry, and the experience built the foundation of a career focused on leading and developing workforces that produce construction aggregates and industrial sands safely and efficiently. She has worked with large corporations, privately owned companies, and small businesses, and is known for bridging communications from the boardroom to the front-line. Her passion is continuous improvement, change management, and people development. Today she is the Director of Operations at GLC Minerals in Green Bay where she can be found right in the middle of an early morning safety meeting, championing lean manufacturing initiatives, inspiring employees to change for the better, and building professional relationships in her new community.
