Elizabeth (Ellie) B. Dawson is a counsel in the Environment & Natural Resources Group in Crowell & Moring’s Washington, D.C. office, a leader of the firm’s global ESG Advisory Team, and Chair of the firm’s Sustainability Committee. Ellie counsels clients in navigating the range of federal environmental and natural resources statutes and helps them achieve their goals in commenting on and litigating agency rulemakings, in undertaking federal permitting processes, and in defending against enforcement actions. Ellie has served as the co-chair of the ABA’s Clean Technology & Climate Change Committee, and participated in the Environmental Law Institute’s Emerging Leaders Initiative. Ellie began her legal career at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment & Natural Resources Division, serving in the Attorney General’s Honors Program and as a trial attorney in the Environmental Defense Section.
