The MSHA-NSSGA Alliance is a small, selected group of NSSGA members who are dedicated to building a positive relationship with MSHA. Its primary goals are to communicate with the industry about health and safety topics, provide health and safety resources and support, and work in partnership with MSHA to address current issues. The group meets with MSHA senior staff twice annually to discuss collaborative efforts to improve mine health and safety. The Alliance works directly with MSHA to create safety materials such as Safety Alerts, magazine “Rip & Share” articles, and takes on creative projects in conjunction with MSHA that target emerging safety hotspots.
